Dr. Cynthia L. Adams, who has been involved with the Terrier hockey program since 1989, will be working with Dr. Len Zaichkowsky in helping the Terriers prepare for both games and practices.

A performance consultant specializing in enhancing sport, business, performing arts and individual and team performance, Adams is also affiliated with the High Performance Sports Center. Located in Peabody, Mass., and under the direction of Dr. Mahlon Bradley, the Center is a strength and conditioning facility that focuses on injury prevention. Adams is also a consultant for Genus Resources, a company that specializes in family-owned enterprises.

Adams, who is a national and international motivational speaker and workshop presenter, also works with skaters from the U.S. Figure Skating Association and National Hockey League players. It is natural that she would work with skaters as she was an ice dancer and competed on the national level from 1977-80.

Adams received her B.S. from Arizona State University in 1982, and her M.S.W. and Ed.D. degrees from Boston University in 1989 and 1992, respectively. She has also been an adjunct faculty member at BU.
