Vermont '01 Boston University '03 Logan Hamilton begins her first year as the Assistant Director of Student Athlete Support Services at BU. Hamilton will serve as the coordinator of the CHAMPS/Life Skills program in addition to providing academic assistance for women's soccer, men's and women's tennis, men's and women's swimming and diving, wrestling, men's crew and softball. Prior to coming to BU, Hamilton spent three years at Northeastern University, where she served as the Senior Academic Coordinator. While at NU, Hamilton provided academic support for women's ice hockey, as well as baseball, women's swimming and diving, men's crew and men's and women's soccer. She acted as an advisor for the Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) and she was responsible for the Northeastern study hall program. Additionally, she served as a mentor and assisted the director in developing the Student Athlete Mentor Program. Hamilton earned a Master's degree in Education from Boston University in 2003. While working on her education, she served as a graduate intern/sports psychology consultant for the Terrier diving program. She conducted individual sessions and provided team workshops concentrating on the mental side of competition. She also served as an academic mentor to 13 at-risk student-athletes at Northeastern. Hamilton is a 2001 graduate of the University of Vermont. She was a four-year letterwinner on the Catamount swim team and served as team captain her senior year. Hamilton competed in the one and three meter diving events, and dove in the 2001 ECAC Championships. She earned America East Honor Roll (3.0 GPA or better) accolades each season and was inducted into the Golden Key National Honor Society. She graduated with a degree in Nutritional Science with a focus on Sports Nutrition. She also earned a minor in Coaching. Hamilton is a native of Saratoga Springs, N.Y., where she graduated from Saratoga Springs High School in 1997. She currently resides in Brighton, Mass. |
