BOSTON - Men's Crew alumni Florian Mennigen and Will Daly finished third and fifth in the coxed fours and lightweight eight, respectively, in the 2007 FISA World Rowing Championships held last week in Munich, Germany.

Mennigen and his crew began the race in fourth place and spent the first 1500m chasing the US, Serbia and Great Britain. The Germans' late push in the last 500m gave them enough to surge past the British into third place. The crew finished in 6:12.49.

Daly, stroking the American lightweight eight, started in sixth. The crew picked it up in last 500m to take over fifth from the Polish contingent. Daly and the US recorded a time of 5:51.97.
