2006-07 HIGHLIGHTS RBK All-America Second Team... College Hockey News Second Team... New England All-Star... Hockey East First Team All-Star... Co-recipient of team's Most Improved Player award... One of seven Terriers to appear in all 39 games... Ranked fourth on team in points with 26, including nine goals and 17 assists... Second on team in plus/minus at +18... Tallied 15 points (3-12) in the last 16 games... Scored game-winning goal in overtime and added an assist in 2-1 victory over Yale on Nov. 25... Three-time Hockey East Honor Roll selection (11/6, 11/27, 2/26). 2005-06 HIGHLIGHTS Played in 36 games, including all but one of the last 37. After not playing the first three games, he missed one game on Jan. 6 versus Providence (healthy scratch)... Tallied eight points on two goals and six assists... Held a +21 ranking, which was the best among BU's defenseman and tied for second on the team... Had the first multiple-point game of his career in the Hockey East semifinal versus UNH on March 17 with a goal and an assist... Scored his first career goal on Jan. 21 versus Merrimack. BEFORE BOSTON UNIVERSITY Played for the Walpole Jr. Stars of the Eastern Junior Hockey League in 2004-05. Led the team and tied for 13th in the league in scoring with 53 points (24-29) in 55 games. Also led the team with seven power-play goals... Graduated in 2003 from St. Mary's High School in Manhasset, N.Y. Was a four-year varsity hockey letter winner and captained the team his junior and senior seasons, winning the New York state championship both years. Named team MVP as a senior as well as the Athlete of the Year at St. Mary's... Also played varsity lacrosse for four years and was all-league selection as a junior and senior and team MVP as a junior. PERSONAL Son of Frank and Peggy Ann Gilroy of Bellmore, N.Y. Father played basketball at St. John's and was drafted by the National Basketball Association's Philadelphia 76ers... Has seven siblings. Brother, Frank, played basketball at St. Anslem College...
