After not playing the first three games, he missed one game on Jan. 6 versus Providence (healthy scratch)... Tallied eight points on two goals and six assists... Held a +21 ranking, which was the best among BU's defenseman and tied for second on the team... Had the first multiple-point game of his career in the Hockey East semifinal versus UNH on March 17 with a goal and an assist... Scored his first career goal on Jan. 21 versus Merrimack. BEFORE BOSTON UNIVERSITY Played for the Walpole Jr. Stars of the Eastern Junior Hockey League in 2004-05. Led the team and tied for 13th in the league in scoring with 53 points (24-29) in 55 games. Also led the team with seven power-play goals... Graduated in 2003 from St. Mary's High School in Manhasset, N.Y. Was a four-year varsity hockey letter winner and captained the team his junior and senior seasons, winning the New York state championship both years. Named team MVP as a senior as well as the Athlete of the Year at St. Mary's... Also played varsity lacrosse for four years and was all-league selection as a junior and senior and team MVP as a junior. PERSONAL Son of Frank and Peggy Ann Gilroy of Bellmore, N.Y.
