Schultz Receives Postseason Honors

BOSTON - Junior defender Dan Schultz (Cincinnati, Ohio) received spots on the National Soccer Coaches' Association of America (NSCAA) Second Team East Region Academic and the Jewish Sports Review All-America teams at the close of the 2007 season.

Schultz earned a 3.67 GPA in economics for the fall semester. He is a two-time member of the America East Commissioner's Honor Roll and received a spot on the 2006 ESPN/CoSIDA Academic All-America Second Team for District I.

He switched from attack to defense in the spring of 2007 and started all 20 games as a back, scoring BU's lone goal at Harvard on Sept. 14.

He is joined on the second team by Eric Sciocchetti (Richmond), Walter McMahon (La Salle), William Gustafson (Niagara), Andrew Hartman (Richmond), Geoff Schaeffer (La Salle), Edward Ryan Overdev (William & Mary), Michael Tilley (Lafayette), Kevin Lydic (La Salle), Sven Meusch (Virginia Commonwealth) and Mark Price (Lafayette).

Schultz was also recognized by the Jewish Sports Review in the 2006 season.
