The 2.4 mile race began at MIT's Pearce boathouse and traveled upstream, finishing across from Harvard's Newell boathouse. The top-ranked crews from each college raced coxed fours, and the lower ranked crews in the varsity eight. Novice crews from each college competed in the novice eight.]]></description>
