BOSTON - The Boston University women's crew entered boats in the Championship 4+ and Championship Eight events at the 43rd annual Head of the Charles Regatta on Sunday and each boat finished higher than it started the races.

Stroked by sophomore Sally Machin (Ottawa, Ontario), the Championship 4+ finished the race in 19:18.27 and placed 12th - nine spots higher than the boat started.

The BU varsity eight placed 14th in the Championship Eight in a time of 16;57.19. Freshman Lee-Ann Persse stroked the boat for the Terriers in her collegiate eight racing debut.
