Terriers Compete in Class of 1985 Cup Versus No. 2 Yale, Dartmouth

BOSTON - The Boston University women's rowing team hopes to break Yale's stronghold on the Class of 1985 cup when the Terriers face the Bulldogs and Dartmouth on Saturday, April 12 on the Housatonic River in Derby, Conn. The Terrier women opened the spring dual season by reclaiming the Playfair Cup, wresting it from 2007 winner Navy. Yale defeated Cornell by 10 seconds last weekend and remains second in the USRowing poll. Dartmouth finished second in a race with Northeastern and Boston College last weekend. Yale has won the cup the past eight years; BU finished second six times during that span. Last season, the Terriers came in third behind Yale and Dartmouth. Next up, Boston University hosts the Charles River Challenge on April 19-20 on the Charles River.
