2006 HIGHLIGHTS (Sophomore): Started in 19-of-21 games in 2006... Took three shots during the season, two of which were on goal, ranking seventh on the team with a .667 shots on goal percentage... Was a mainstay in the backfield as the team held opponents to 14 goals against all season, second only to Maine in the conference. 2005 HIGHLIGHTS (Freshman): Played in eight games, all off the bench, as a midfielder... Saw action in the America East Tournament (versus New Hampshire in the semifinals and versus Maine in the title game) as well as in the NCAA Tournament against Boston College (11/12)... Managed one shot on the season, versus UNH (10/30)... BU was 6-1-1 when she played... Named to America East Honor Roll for GPA of 3.0 or higher. HIGH SCHOOL (Sacred Heart Academy): Was a four-year starting midfielder...Freshman year was named Most Valuable New Player...Capped off scholastic career in 2004 by serving as team captain and earning All-Long Island honors... In 2004, team won the League and State championships... ODP team won the Surf Cup... Played junior varsity basketball in 2003 and was voted team MVP... Academically, was a National Merit winner, was in the National Honor Society, on the Principal's list and was nationally recognized for excellence in Latin. PERSONAL: Born on Aug. 4, 1987... Daughter of Robert and Terry Speck... Enrolled in the University's College of Arts and Sciences.
