BOSTON - Junior Marisha Schumacher-Hodge and sophomore Casey Brown were named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) All-Northeast Region Third Team, as announced by the NSCAA on Friday. Schumacher-Hodge and Brown were integral in leading the Terriers to an America East championship this past season.

Schumacher-Hodge was named to the preseason MAC Hermann Trophy watch list and went on to lead the team in points with 14 on four goals and six assists. The midfielder out of Pittsburgh, Pa., earned America East All-Conference First Team accolades and netted the game-winning goal against Binghamton in the conference semifinals.

Brown, the 2007 AE Defender of the Year, proved to be just as effective on offense as she was on defense, leading the squad in goals with five. She was second on the team in points (11) and tallied two game winners. In addition to being the conference's top defender, she also earned first-team honors. The Natick, Mass., native anchored a solid backline that shutout 10 opponents in 2007 - six in league play - and allowed just two goals during the conference slate.

BU finished the season with an 11-7-3 overall record, and claimed the AE regular-season crown. After defeating UNH in the championship game, the Terriers earned the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA tourney. BU fell, 2-1, to fourth-seeded Wake Forest in the first round.
