CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - After placing first in the 100m Saturday at the Tufts Snowflake Invitational, sophomore Whitney Ford has been named the America East Female Track Performer of the Week, as was announced by the conference Wednesday.

With a 12.59 time, Ford was one of Boston University's 16 top-10 finishes Saturday, leading the team to fourth place out of 13 teams at the first event in which the full team has participated. Seven athletes competed for the Terriers at the Husky Invitational one week earlier.

This weekend, BU will send representatives to both the Stanford Invitational in Palo Alto, Calif., and the Florida Relays in Gainsville, Fla.
